Independent pure-Rust translation of an MPICH subset — the MPI-3 API surface (communicators, datatypes, point-to-point, core collectives) over a shared-memory threads-as-ranks transport. No C/FFI, Android-buildable. SCAFFOLD: shared-memory only, no TCP yet, no human V&V. Not affiliated with MPICH.
